Our new bad boy of the South African navy, me thinks that they where testing it out to see if the Germans (who made it) plugged all the holes – lol.

Wow – just read the 24 News – “allegations of pay off money being laid out for submarines” – brilliant!

With all of the paranoid governments surrounding South Africa – about five really competent pilots in your air force – and a handful (if that) of computer oriented people that can plot – set – and fire effectively – heavy artillery pieces – what do you get?

“A government that thinks the answer is three German made submarines!”

(Golly – I hope the subs at least have those new – very quiet Mann diesel drives ?)

    Sojourners -

If you haven’t thought about it before – do so now – ‘try to move to a country where a submarine is a sandwich’ and not a bribable toy!

(Unless the thought is to hold the area of the Cape as a sort of ’pay or no pass’ tax type of thingy?)

Why would I move! Who is going to invade South Africa, Zimbabwe? Mozambique? or god forbid Namibia?

As far as arms and bribery all you have to look at is the following links and maybe a surprise will greet you – lol

I don’t see too many Britons jumping ship.

The above is just the UK, never mind Germany, France, USA and the list goes on and on. Dealing in arms is a dodgy business and since governments are the ones that pay for these items, the wrong perks are often taken.

PS, bet you are a South African living abroad!
