I certainly do not know what it is about Kalk Bay, but black & white just works for me. The reason I was on the pier was that I had heard people had seen some whales – no alas not me.
I will keep on trying though as you all need to see this, it is spectacular.
I took this picture from Kommetjie, the blues, sea and clouds make for me anyway a perfect picture. I followed the 1/3 rule of photography to the sky is very predominant.
Just waiting for the next cold front to arrive and the rain to fall.
Bye bye
A green sea????????????? looks like it – lol, I am sure it was blueish when I took the photo, oh well.
This leopard was created by an artist known as Ivan Miltford-Barberton and positioned in Hout Bay in 1963.
A seagull’s toilet by the looks of it!
Cheers.
One of 5 really excellent beaches to be found around Cape Town and not forgetting the good to excellent surfing. I had to pick up a few items off a friend here and just could not help but to take this picture, not the best I have ever taken but just a plain old almost holiday snap.
Cheers see you soon.
Me
Our new bad boy of the South African navy, me thinks that they where testing it out to see if the Germans (who made it) plugged all the holes – lol.
After the rains of the past weekend, we decided to get away and just go for a walk on a beach somewhere. Scarbough ended up being our destination, as you can see the day turned out to be an absolute stunner, problem was the water was sooooo very cold that all toes turn a shade of purple before they dropped off – lol.
PS not a bikini in sight, which was disapointing but remember that is is winter.
The family and I where up very early, took a few pictures before the sun was up and we where about to leave when the sun did peak it’s head over the mountain – and this the results.
I was lucky enough to catch a seagull in flight and the fishermen in action – I do not know if they caught anything other than a cold. But they where there long before we got there, so hats off to them.
Cheers until tommorrow.
What a beautiful day, a quiet day on the beach with loved ones and sun lotion. The water (Atlantic Ocean) was of course way to cold to dip our toes in, that is life is it not – nothing is perfect.
Camps Bay is one of the most popular beaches in South Africa, never mind Cape Town. In summer it is load to capacity with the all beautiful people.
This is what Cape is all about; Sea, Sun, Sand, Mountains, and cold water.
